Dyslexia coined in German from the words ‘dys’ to mean difficulty and the greek word ‘lexis’ to mean ‘speech’. So the word Dyslexia also known as the reading disability is a disorder that involves difficulty in learning to read and interpret words, letters, and other symbols, but that does not affect general intelligence.

According to the Yale Center for Dyslexia and creativity, dyslexia “is the most common of all neuro-cognitive disorders”. Around 20% of the world’s population experience dyslexia, and this represents about 80% to 90% of all people learning with disabilities.

This amazing idea which originated from the Pastor of Renew Chutin Scotland, Pastor Steven McLeish in collaboration with Life. Church has helped make the Bible easier to read for persons with this condition. In an interview with Life.

Church he stated that being dyslexic himself he dreamt about making the Bible accessible for people like himself and which made him the idea to reach out to Life.Church who made this possible. He also stated that this version reached as many people as necessary.

Dyslexic fonts are designed to be easier to read with their spacing, thickness and angles. The CEO of YouVersion, Bobby Grueneward said in a statement with ChurchLeaders , “We’re passionate about removing barriers so that everyone can access the Bible “.
