Empowerment Worship Centre spreads joy with medical services and Back-to-School supplies

Empowerment Worship Centre has hosted its annual Medical Outreach & Back To School program, ‘Life Check.’

This year’s outreach, dubbed ‘Joy in Service’, saw a comprehensive medical check-up event aimed at promoting health and well-being among residents of Dzorwulu and its environs.

Powered by the Empowerment Care Foundation, the event, which took place on Saturday 9th, 2023 saw a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, volunteers, and members of the Empowerment Worship Centre coming together to provide vital medical services to the community. “Life Check 23” was a testament to the church’s commitment to holistic empowerment beyond spiritual needs.

Thousands of community members gathered at the church premises at Dzorwulu, where they had access to a wide range of medical services, including minor surgeries, general check-ups, blood pressure monitoring, free NHIS registrations, eye testing etc.

Lead Pastor of the Empowerment Worship Centre, Prophet Gideon Danso expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, saying, “My message this year is the church as we know from scripture, has been a place of comfort, a place of peace, healing, restoration and recovery. Salvation is in three folds; in body, soul and in spirit. There are people who would never hear the gospel in the words that we speak, but only through the love that we show in the natural.

We therefore want to lead the way and focus on the church’s primary assignment which is touching lives, making a difference, feeding the poor and giving to people who can’t give back to you”.

Local residents, young and old alike, welcomed and praised the initiative with open arms.

In addition to the medical services, Empowerment Worship Centre distributed a generous supply of back-to-school items, including backpacks, notebooks, pencils, and other essential supplies.

Life Check 2023″ was not just about addressing immediate health concerns but also about fostering a sense of community and togetherness.
