I Regret Waking Up In Ghana – Cwesi Oteng

Song Writer, Worshipper and Minister of the Gospel, Cwesi Oteng, has lamented on how he regrets having a voice in a country that have no respect for individual opinions.

In a recent interview, the “Next In Line” singer, expressed his disappointment in how  Ghanaians do not really have regard for divergent opinions.

Reacting to a question posed to him on Adom TV’s Badwam, about his take on the current state of the country and whether he had regrets for supporting a political party openly, the man of God said he does not have regrets supporting the current president.

Rather, he regrets waking up in Ghana; he regrets waking up to people who want everyone to have the same opinions as theirs, yet we all can’t have the same opinion. So he does not regret supporting the president, Just regrets taking a stand that brought him so many attacks on social media.

He also said because he endorsed the president people think that he has some special privileges or he is on government payroll, but all those assertions are not true because he goes through the system like everyone else and feels the hardship like everyone does.

He added that it was just his opinion that the President did well in his first term and deserved another term thus why he campaigned for him.

Cwesi Oteng urged the media to avoid twisting the things people say for publicity.
