I SIGNIFICANTLY CHANGED THE FINANCIAL STANDARDS IN GHANA’S GOSPEL INDUSTRY – CWESI OTENG ASSERTS

Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician, Cwesi Oteng, has asserted that he played a significant role in improving the financial landscape of the gospel industry in Ghana.
The musician mad this assertion during an interview with on Xzone on TV XYZ.
Speaking to Afia Coke, Cwesi Oteng disclosed that he was the first Ghanaian gospel artist to charge 15 Ghana cedis and implement a 50 cedis ticket fee for his events.
Cwesi Oteng also claimed to have been the pioneer in elevating the compensation of gospel artists, citing examples such as being the first person to pay Danny Nettey GHs600 and providing financial compensation ranging from 200 to 300 cedis to fellow gospel artists, a practice that was uncommon during that period.
According to the “God Wey Dey Bless Me” hit maker, all of those initiatives were undertaken with the ultimate aim of raising the financial standards within the gospel industry.
